I am sure that what ever the problem is its probably the way that I am doing it - I have removed all that I can find of MySql from laptop Program files, Administrative Service for MySql is waiting to start, and I left the firewalls open, - will attempt download again and see what happens ... I hate to think I have to bring the hard drive back to factory settings over this issue but to get LAMS installed I would ...
