Ladies and Gentlemen,

LAMS 2.3 is finally out! This is one of the biggest releases to date with a whole lot new features, fixes and performance improvements.

As always many many thanks must go to the LAMS team who have worked tirelessly in getting this release out to the public. Also thank you to all the translators and anybody who has contributed with ideas and code for this release.

Be sure to take a look what will be coming out for LAMS 2.4. If you have any ideas, please let us know and we will do out best to include them!

The Unix and Windows installers and updaters are available here. For Debian/Ubunutu users, stay tuned as a Debian package will be released shortly.

Hi, we have received an enquiry about using the Mindmap feature included in 2.3 at Macquarie (via Blackboard). Does anyone know when the Macquarie server will be upgraded to version 2.3?

Hi Tim,

Sure!

We'll upgrade your server on the week starting on June 29th.

As our research center (MELCOE) maintains the LAMS server for Macquarie University, we'll bring all these servers up to the latest version.

Will this also require any upgrade to the plugin within Blackboard that communicates with the server?
