Hi Ernie,
Thank you for answering.
I am really appreciated.

I setup again with the file you offered.
It's still the same.
there are two problems on my website:
(1) the encode problem
as before I said.
(2) the role are not that right.
Only the admin role (in Moodle) can modify/link/monitor the LAMS class.
others can't do anything beside see.
(please see the attach file)

would you mind send me your email, then I can send you the website address with login account?

Are you using the latest code as I mentioned before?

If you are sure that the user does have teacher role within the course, the check the following:

Login as Admin, then go to the course and select "Assign roles", click on "Override permissions" and then "teacher". Scroll down and find LAMS.... it should look like in the picture attached.

(1) I did. I really sure.
I am going to make another platform to setup everything again.
(2) I don't have any permissions setting about LAMS, even for the admin role. But I(admin) can use LAMS. >_<

It doesn't show up anything about LAMS on the list (user>permission>define role>admin)

Create a user in Moodle and give it teacher rights for a course, then with that user, go into the course, turn editing *on* and then add a LAMS activity. You should be able to see the "Open Author" and "Add lesson" buttons.

Hi,
I have been working on the lams & moodle for a while.
It's very great. I appreciated Ernie helped a lot.

I got some summary and new problems.
summary:
(1) The platform Effects the system.
First time, I install lams with moodle(in the same server).
It always stop at 70% when I open the LAMS server from moodle.
Once I setup LAMS in a independent server. It works.

(2) the authority:(ex: attach server2)
After you install moodle in begining, you will see the LAMS in your system.
Don't uninstall it.
If you uninstall it, you can't find any thing about LAMS on permission. And you only have two kinds of roles about LAMS on that server.(Full or Nothing)

Problems::(ex: attach server1)
In my platform, I recall the "LAMS". It has different view/authority for different role.
But I don't have the "Delete the lesson" button anymore.
what's wrong!?

Thank you

Hi Verna,

> (1) The platform Effects the system.

Can you do me a favor and test this on our Moodle-LAMS demo site:

http://moodle.lamscommunity.org/moodle

You can sign up for an account there. Make sure you choose Chinese in your profile.

> (2) the authority:(ex: attach server2)

Jun-Dir has fix this now. If you download the latest LAMS Moodle module from the Downloads page, you should be good.

Thanks,

Ernie
