i'm having a problem on adding a lesson with some chars,
I have created on author a lesson with the name on the properties and saved with the same name "Testesão_Açordaá"

then i tried to add it to a lesson on a group and the chars are all trashed... "Testes��o_A��orda�� Monitor ", I did the same on lams demo site and it worked fine .. I just can't save the activity with the "Testesão_Açordaá" on the public folder .. it wont appear on the add lesson list

i was having the same problems with first name and last name but i found the issue and applied the patch and all worked fine(LDEV-2447).. but the lesson name i can't found it ..

Hi Marco,

I'm pretty sure this has been fixed in LAMS 2.3.3. Have you upgraded LAMS?

my problem is that i have a version from 2_3 release branch with a few customizations on the code and the updates only have the jars already compiled, is there a list of wich bugs were resolved on each update ? so that i can go to the bug and apply the patch to the source file ..

It seems that Spyros is also having the same problem in 2.3.3, Jun-Dir is investigating this now. We'll post an answer/solution here.

Hi Ernie,

The problem fixed for users' name in patch 2.3.3 but not for Sequense name and Group names.

P.S. The encoding problem does not exist on Ubuntu server only on Windows 2003 server.

I've posted a fix to the other thread; it only modifies lams-monitoring.jar, so unless you've modified something in there you shouldn't need to worry about your custom changes :)

We have copied your attachment (lams-monitoring.jar) on LAMS 2.3.3 on Windows server folder but the problem remain.

Ahh, I see what you mean about the group name problem now! I was thinking it was a problem with the jsp page, but it makes sense that it would also display incorrectly in the flash movie.

I've updated http://bugs.lamsfoundation.org/browse/LDEV-2471 to reflect the new info. We'll need to update the flash to fix this properly - as I mentioned in the other post, this jar is just a temporary fix for the lesson names only.
