Your right, this does occur quite often, but (at least for this case) it seem after looking at the code that this is a false positive... (Or a false negative depending on which way you want to look at it). When you open an activity for the first time, it tries to fetch data from the database, since there is none yet it returns null... This is normal. But in some of the tools there is some silly logging that logs this as an error, where really it is normal behavior. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, we will try to fix this for later versions of lams.
