Hello,
There are 2 very useful thinks to be in forum tool advanced settings.
a) Notify with email students when teacher posts something new.
b) Notify with email teachers when students posts something new.
I can't understand what 'Notify learners when marks are released' means? There aren't marks in forum, are they?
Regards
George

Yes, there are marks in Forum. If you go to the monitor part of forum, you will be able to see that as teacher you can mark student's postings (and even add comments).

As forum is such a central part of learning, some teachers want to be able to mark students contribution in the forum. I think this has been there for a while. More info here:

Hi Ernie,

George suggest Learner and Monitor to receive a message

"This is an automatic email from the sequence just to let you know that your Forum: Activity_Name has a new post".

hello again,
You don't understand what i said.
i think my English aren't so good, and maybe this is the problem...
I 'll tell you again.
a) notify learners with email when teacher creates a new topic.
b)notify teacher (monitor)with email when learner ask something in forum, so teacher can answer immediately.
c) notify learners with email when teacher replies to their quesstions.

Some of these would be useful an in other tool, such as Submit Files tool.
Regards,
George
