Hi,
To effectively use the MEL Appliance VM you really do need some experience maintaining a Linux operating system. Here is information on adding a command line user under Linux. http://www.linuxheadquarters.com/howto/basic/adduser.shtml There is an existing user called mel that should have access to the Moodle, Elgg, Lams applications. If you are logged in as root you can use the command su - mel to login as mel. For moodle, you can use the backup feature (see: http://docs.moodle.org/en/Course_backup ) to save the contents of a course. Then you can restore to add the items to the moodle course (see: http://docs.moodle.org/en/Restore ). You should be able to run the VM from a portable drive. 30 students at a time should not be a problem. Posted by Dave Bauer |
